There are multiple definitions:

  1. renal medullary carcinoma(English)

    • uncommon yet an aggressive form of kidney cancer, being a subtype of non-clear cell renal cancer accounting for less than 1% of all the renal tumors. At diagnosis 70%-95% of the patients present with metastatic disease, with median survival of 15 weeks. Reports describe modest benefit from cytotoxic chemotherapy. However, most patients die within a year of starting treatment

  2. magnocellular part of the red nucleus(English)

    • the red nucleus is traditionally divided into the parvicellular part (RPC) and the RMC, with neurons of varying size are found in each part. Therefore, the morphological division of the RN does not by itself completely define the component parts of this nucleus
