- better term would be: excessive trabeculation. A rare cardiomyopathy characterized by a two-layered left ventricular (LV) myocardium with prominent trabeculations separated by deep recesses perfused from the LV cavum. Trabecular abnormalities are frequently grouped together under this entity. See Chin, Jenni, or Petersen ratio-based criteria
