venous thoracic outlet syndrome(English)
- results from compression of the neurovascular structures that pass through the thoracic outlet. Also known as Paget-Schröetter Syndrome, involves subclavian-axillary venous occlusion, thrombus formation, and rare embolization. Usually requires urgent thrombolysis, anticoagulation, and surgical decompression
