• for its calculation, all NN intervals are first divided according to their length in bins of ≈8 ms (precisely 7.8125 ms=1/128 seconds). Then the number of NN intervals in the modal bin (ie, the maximum of the density distribution) was sought. Finally, the HRVI was defined as the total number of NN intervals divided by the number of NN intervals in the modal bin. Reduced HRV is in HFrEF patients associated with improved EF.
