    • the most commonly involved artery in supra-aortic occlusive disease and is the target of therapy in more than 50% of the cases. Most subclavian lesions are asymptomatic and remain clinically insignificant. Most commonly, patients present with symptoms of decreased left brachial blood pressure or pulse along with vertigo or dizziness during arm exertion signifying VBI. This situation defines the subclavian steal syndrome, in which vertebral artery flow is reversed and the posterior cerebral perfusion is compromised to maintain flow in the upper extremity
