    • commonly accepted as a measure of the general health and wellbeing of a population. Among many public health indexes, NMR is one of the two most important measures indicating the regional, national, and population status in various fields including health, demography, society, economy, biology, and culture. The following terms are based on ICD and WHO. Neonate: infants 0 to 27 days of life, under 28 days of life. Early neonate: infants 0 to 6 days (under 7 days) of age. Late neonate: infants 7 to 27 days (under 28 days) of age
