infectious laryngotracheitis virus(English)

• belongs to alphaherpesvirinae and the Gallid herpes virus 1 species.The genome is linear and approximated 150 kb of double-stranded DNA. It consists of long and short unique regions, and two inverted repeat sequences (internal repeat; terminal repeat) that flank the these regions. It was predicted that the genome had 77 ORFs, and 63 of these were homologous to herpes simplex virus-1 genes
