high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma(English)
- tumors cluster into distinct molecular subtypes by gene expression profiling and are characterized by mutations in the tumor suppressor TP53, found in > 95% of cases, and a high level of genomic instability, resulting in widespread gene copy number changes. Defects in HR DNA repair are found in ~ 50% of cases overall, most commonly attributed to alterations in BRCA1 and less commonly in other HR repair genes such as ATM, ATR, BARD1, BRIP1, PALB2, and RAD51 paralogs (RAD51B, RAD51C, and RAD51D)
