hepatic artery pseudo-aneurysm(English)
- a rare but dangerous complication of both acute surgical and chronic injury to the hepatic artery. However, early diagnosis and intervention can result in an excellent long-term outcome. When not associated with OLT pseudo-aneurysm can be preceded by blunt abdominal trauma, liver biopsy, pancreatic pseudocyst, or polyarteritis nodosa. Patients can be treated by ligation, and those with post-OLT HAP undergo resection and replacement with saphenous bypass grafts
