There are multiple definitions:
environmental illness(English)
exercise intolerance(English)
equine influenza(English)
- a common, highly contagious, and self-limiting upper respiratory infection of horses caused by aerogenous exposure to type A strains of influenza virus (H7N7 [A/equi-1] and H3N8 [A/equi-2]). It has high morbidity (outbreaks) but low mortality, and is clinically characterized by fever, conjunctivitis, and serous nasal discharge. Can occasionally cause severe bronchointerstitial pneumonia with pulmonary edema. H3N8 recently did an equine to canine “host-jump”, causing extensive outbreaks of respiratory disease in dogs

endovascular intervention(English)
- an endovascular first policy for limb salvage is reasonable in CLI patients because the procedure appears not to negatively affect the outcome of subsequent bypass procedures such as BPG

energy intake(English)
- is significantly increased with exercise, but produces a significant decrease in relative EI after accounting for the energy expended during exercise

effort index(English)
- information provided by two key variables (i.e. first repetition’s velocity and velocity loss in each set) is complementary, and allows estimation of the overall effort experienced by each athlete in the exercise sets that make up each session and training cycle. The product of both variables provides a single indicator of effort or fatigue, termed the “effort index”

eccentricity index [of LV](English)
- calculated as the ratio of left ventricular short-axis diameter parallel to the septum (anterioposterior dimension) to the LV short-axis diameter perpenicular to the septum (septolateral dimension) at end-diastole and end-inspiration. A value > 1 indicates septal flattening, enhanced ventricular dependence, and increased pericardial constraint
