• a practical method for examination of the small bowel resulting in a paradigm shift in diagnostic and therapeutic approach in patients with suspicion of small bowel diseases. Currently three platforms for deep enteroscopy exist: double-balloon enteroscopy (DBE) as first described by Yamamoto in 2001, single-balloon enteroscopy (SBE) and spiral enteroscopy (SE)
