• women present more frequently with hereditary type than with wild-type, and women are generally 3.3 years older than men at the time of diagnosis. When indexed for body size, the overall echocardiographic structural and functional phenotype was similar between sexes, without significant between-sex differences in the patterns of disease progression or incidence of mortality
