apparent Treatment-Resistant Hypertension(English)
- most common in HFpEF and least common in HFrEF. Associated patient characteristics are similar, irrespective of LVEF category. aTRH (vs normal blood pressure) is associated with a lower risk of first HF hospitalization or cardiovascular death in HFrEF and HFmrEF but not in HFpEF. defined as BP ≥140/90 mm Hg (≥130/80 mm Hg if diabetes) despite treatment with 3 antihypertensive drugs including a diuretic. Is prevalent (about 10% of all HTN patients) and associated with adverse outcomes in heart failure with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction
