acute retinal necrosis(English)
- characterized by peripheral necrotizing retinitis usually due to infection with varicella-zoster virus (VZV), herpes simplex virus (HSV I or II). Typically, acute retinal necrosis occurs in immunocompetent individuals. In Japan also known as Kirisawa's uveitis
