  • 20 items that are answered on a 4-point Likert scale based on "how you feel right now, at this moment", which provides an operational measure of two different components of anxiety: state and trait. State anxiety refers to a transitory emotional state characterized by subjective feelings or tension that may vary in intensity over time. Trait anxiety refers to a relatively stable disposition to respond to stress with anxiety and a tendency to perceive a wider range of situations as threatening
