severe childhood autosomal recessive muscular dystrophy(English)

• characterized by a severe Duchene muscular dystrophy like phenotype. Most such cases represent alpha or gamma sarcoglycanopathies. Mental subnormality is very uncommon and other central nervous system deficits have not been documented in these patients
