medial tibial stress syndrome(English)

• defined as activity-related pain along the posteromedial tibial border and tenderness on the same site over a length of at least five or more consecutive centimeters. There is no conclusive evidence for any effective intervention in the management of MTSS. Also as common overuse injury characterized by local pain that occurs during exercise at the medial surface of the distal two thirds of the tibial shaft; aka shin splints
