menstrual fluid(English)
- at the initiation of and during tissue re-epithelialization, which occurs in parallel with breakdown, the endometrium is bathed in accumulated endometrial factors and blood in the form of menstrual fluid. Proteomic analysis of MF identified a large number of proteins: migration inhibitory factor, neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, follistatin like-1, chemokine ligand-20, and secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor were selected for further investigation. Functionally, they promote repair of endometrial and keratinocyte wounds by promoting migration. Translation of these and other MF factors into a migration-inducing treatment paradigm could provide novel treatments for tissue repair

mycosis fungoides(English)
- a low-grade cutaneous lymphoma accounting for more than half of primary CTCLs. Due to the rarity of CTCL, randomized studies are lacking, and treatment is based mainly on the recent published European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer guidelines. Basically, early-stage MF is treated with skin-directed treatments, whereas advanced-stage MF requires more aggressive therapies. Among the skin-directed therapies, nitrogen mustard has been used for more than 50 years. A gel formulation was developed recently, showing a slight decrease in efficacy, counterbalanced by better tolerance (essentially due to a decrease in delayed hypersensitivity reactions)

mossy fiber(English)
- conveys information from the entorhinal cortex to the hippocampus proper. In adulthood, they form excitatory glutamatergic synapses with CA3 principal cells and local inhibitory interneurons. GABA released from MF terminals exerts on targeted neurons a depolarizing and excitatory action. These effects contribute to generate coherent network oscillations such as giant depolarizing potentials and associated calcium transients, which act as coincident detection signals for enhancing synaptic efficacy at emerging GABAergic and glutamatergic synapses. Alterations in early MF–CA3 signaling may have important implications in neurodevelopmental disorders such as schizophrenia, autism, and epilepsy
