    • a formal risk assessment tool for upper gastrointestinal (GI) hemorrhages and uses the patient's blood results, blood pressure, known history and presentation findings to identify how urgently patients require endoscopic therapy. Predicts the outcome of patients with upper GI bleeds at presentation in ED. Those presenting with a non-variceal upper GI bleed with a score of 2 or less could be considered suitable for discharge with outpatient investigations planned
