endotracheal intubation(English)

• the process by which a tube is inserted into the trachea. This may be accomplished through the larynx or through the skin of the neck. Cricothyroidotomy and tracheostomy are the terms for the latter approach. If performed improperly, endotracheal intubation can be life threatening
